Learning doesn’t stop in the classroom. Through Beyond the Classroom activities, Foundation Year students have the opportunity to learn through direct experience — in museums, laboratories, sports fields, and other real-world contexts — connecting academic learning with cultural discovery and practice.
Students from the Foundation Year and Marco Polo Program enjoyed an unforgettable culinary experience at the Apolf Cooking School in Pavia.
Guided by professional chefs, participants prepared a variety of traditional dishes, from risotto and pasta to pizza and focaccia. After a few hours of hands-on cooking, the students shared their creations in a convivial dinner with their teachers and the staff of the University of Pavia.
