To apply for the Foundation Year, applicants must:
B1 level of Italian is required by JUNE 30th 2027 for admission, only for VISA APPLICANT
The following certificate are accepted Cils, PLIDA,IIC Certificate
Do not yet hold a B1 level of Italian? Apply for the Preparatory B1 Italian Language Course within the Foundation Year application
- High School Diploma:
- have completed at least 11 years of schooling, from primary school through secondary school;
- have obtained a secondary school diploma (final qualification), accompanied by the final-year transcript and the relevant complete translation;
- Please note :the entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English / French / Italian / Spanish.
❗Educational Pathways Not Eligible for Admission
Students who have completed only part of the secondary education pathway required by their national education system are not eligible for admission to the Foundation Year.
For example:
IB: individual IB courses are not sufficient; a full IB Diploma or IB Bilingual Diploma is required;
O-levels, GCSEs, AS courses or IGCSEs: these qualifications alone are not sufficient; a full GCE A-level qualification is required;
Education systems requiring 12 or 13 years of schooling: completing only 11 years of education is not sufficient.
GED is not accepted for Foundation Year Program
3. Age Requirements:
- be at least 17 years old at the time of application;
- turn 18 by the end of the programme, on 30 June 2027.be at least 17 years old;
- turn 18 by the end of the programme (30 June 2027).
For underage students, a legal guardian is also required. During the enrolment process, students must complete and email the Declaration of Responsibility for Underage Students to foundationyear@unipv.it.
