1st CALL
Opening Date: 1 October 2026
Deadline: 15 October 2026 at 23:59 (CET)
Payment deadline: Pay the €35 application fee (mandatory and non-refundable) no later than the last day of the call.
Results: 18 December 2026
Payment of the first installment to confirm the place: 01-12 February 2027
2nd CALL
Opening Date: 22 February 2027
Deadline: 09 march 2027 at 23:59 (CET)
Payment deadline: Pay the €35 application fee (mandatory and non-refundable) no later than the last day of the call.
Results: 06 april 2027
Payment of the first installment to confirm the place: within 10 days from the publication of the selection results.
3rd CALL
Opening date : 07 June 2027
Deadline: 18 June 2027 at 23:59 (CET)
Application fee deadline: the €35 application fee (mandatory and non-refundable) must be paid no later than the last day of the application round.
Results: 9 July 2027
Payment of the first instalment to confirm your place: within 10 days of receiving the payment instructions
Useful Information:
❗ Please note that Italian Embassies or Consulates may require proof of B1-level Italian language proficiency as part of the visa application process. Therefore, students are strongly advised to check the specific requirements provided by the Italian Embassy or Consulate responsible for their area before submitting their application.
❗ All applications must be submitted through the official University of Pavia application portal: apply.unipv.eu
❗ Late applications will not be accepted.
❗ Admission is subject to document verification
- You can submit your application online for the A.Y.2026- 2027 starting from 12 November 2025
2. Upload the following documents to the platform:
- A scanned copy of your passport photo/personal information pages;
- A scanned copy of your High School Diploma, accompanied by an official translation in Italian or English by an Apostille/legalization. As an alternative to Apostille/legalization you can contact the CIMEA Institute and request a Statement of Verification (Certificate of Verification);
- A scanned copy of your High School senior-year transcripts, accompanied by an official translation in Italian or English and by an Apostille/legalization;
- A scanned copy of the "Declaration of Value" which must be issued and signed by the Italian embassy/consulate of the country that issued your Diploma. Alternatively, you can contact the CIMEA Institute and request a Statement of Comparability (Certificate of Comparability)*;
- Italian language certificate (if any). To access the Foundation year course, it is not mandatory to have knowledge of the Italian and/or English language.

3. In order to submit your application, you must pay a non-refundable application fee of €35.
! If you have not received your high school diploma yet, you can still apply for the Program but, along with your application, you will need to submit a letter written by a representative of your high school in which it is stated when you will receive your diploma. A scanned copy of your High School Diploma must be submitted online or sent via email to foundationyear@unipv.it by September 15, 2026 (for the A.Y. 2026- 2027).
Failure to submit the missing documents by the indicated deadline will result in exclusion from the Program.
! If you have not received the "Declaration of Value" or the Apostille / Legalization yet, you can still submit your application, but keep in mind that all the required documents must be submitted by October 31, 2026 (for the A.Y. 2026- 2027).
!Statement of Verification and Statement of Comparability
*! If you obtained your High School Diploma in on of the countries under the Lisbon Recognition Convention, you can present Statement of Correspondence, as an alternative to the Declaration of Value or Statement of Comparability. You can download the Statement of Correspondence from the ARDI database. Please select the Country in which your academic title has been issued, choose upper secondary school education and choose the level of your academic title (in your case EQF 4).

Once the application is completed and all the required documents have been submitted, you will receive an acceptance letter along with step-by-step instructions to complete the enrollment process on the Universitaly platform, and to apply for a student visa.
! All non-EU students admitted to the Program must register on the Universitaly platform and submit their pre-enrollment application.
You will need to upload:
- High School diploma
- English or Italian translations of all required documents
- Passport
- Foundation Year Program acceptance letter
! The deadline for obtaining a visa appointment is the same for all international students and is set by the University of Pavia.

Once you receive the acceptance letter, do the following:
- Wait for the email containing the credentials to complete your registration in the Student Area of the University of Pavia website.
- Complete the enrollment process according to the instructions provided.
- Pay the first installment of the tuition fee.
